The French term décollage translates to ‘take-off’ or ‘to become unglued’. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn this fun hands-on workshop we'll explore this technique by firstly collecting our collage materials from our immediate surroundings in the heart of Murwillumbah; found papers, packaging, cardboard, promotional items, torn off posters and so on. Once back in the studio we'll start building our layered surfaces using intuition and chance, then work to \"uncover\" an image by removing layers. Students can keep their work experimental and abstracted, or they can use text, sketches or pattern to ground their work in representation. Participants will leave with a collection of de-collage works from A6 up to A4 size which can be resolved final pieces or a jumping off point for other artworks.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis class is suitable for all levels of experience from absolute beginners (Ages 16+) to creators who would like to explore a new technique. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAll tools and materials will be supplied on the day and places are capped at six participants to ensure personal teaching and a nice calm atmosphere.
